Meet Our Massage Therapists:
Jennifer Helm is a licensed massage therapist who graduated from East West College in 2015. Of the many different modalities learned at East West, she focuses on:
- Deep Tissue Massage
- Myofascial Release
- Trigger Point Massage
- Swedish Massage
- Japanese Shiatsu Massage
Jennifer has lived in Oregon all her life, growing up in the small town of Gales Creek. She believes that keeping active and enjoying nature are important in maintaining health and achieves this for herself through walks on the Oregon Coast and swimming to relieve stress. Keeping the mind and spirit healthy is just as important as the body; Jennifer enjoys reading anything and everything and writes in her free time to maintain her creative spirit.
Joshua graduated from Portland’s East West College of the Healing Arts 800 hour Massage Therapy Program in 2012. East West College combines Western scientific studies and Eastern healing philosophies to create well rounded Massage Therapists grounded in science as well as open to ancient healing modalities. At East West Joshua devoted his studies to kinesiology,, Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial studies and Trigger Point Therapy.
Since becoming a full time Massage Therapist Joshua has worked with other health professionals specializing in neck and shoulder pain from car accidents and repetitive use injuries in the work place. Before joining HealthSource Chiropractic Joshua spent two years working with the Health for Life Medical Doctors and Physical Therapists at the Intel Ronler Acres campus. If your neck, arms and shoulders are tired and sore from overuse at the computer or you have found yourself in pain after an auto accident Joshua is here to help you gently find ease in movement again.
Massage Therapy is Joshua’s passion and even outside of work you can find him lending his skills and heart to the community. Joshua works closely with Taking Care Portland (Taking Care Cancer) a non profit community based support group that provides massage, live intentional music, acupuncture and nutrition to those dealing with cancer and their care providers.
Outside of work and volunteering Joshua finds joy spending time with his family and is passionate about music, art and nature.
